200 Wednesday January 11th 1888 As soon as I could get the work done up this morning I went to town. I was at Hatts for dinner and she and I called on Mrs Stillman in the afternoon. I did some shopping and Will came after me with the sleigh. Thursday January 12th 1888 It was snowing this morning but Will went after wood and John came to take Father and Mother over there. I was busy with the house-work a great part of the day. The folks did not get home today. Will did not go to town we read and talked all the evening. Friday January 13th 1888 It was a horrible cold day and the snow drifted very badly. The folks did not get home today. Will was over town in the forenoon. I was all morning doing baking and sewed a little in the afternoon, knit all evening Saturday January 14th 1888 It was a very cold day but Will went after Father and Mother in the big sleigh. We were all the forenoon getting dinner. I knit in the afternoon and evening. Sunday January 15th 1888 It was an extremely cold day. George Bremauer called here in the forenoon. I read in the afternoon and went to bed early as I did not feel well. Monday January 16th 1888 I felt better and helped with the work in the forenoon Will and I went to town in the afternoon. I knit a little in the evening. Weather still very cold. Tuesday January 17th 1888 I was hardly able to do any of the work today I felt so badly. I knit a little, went to bed early. Wednesday January 18th 1888 We washed in the forenoon and dried a few of the things around the fire in the afternoon and evening Thursday January 18th 1888 We ironed some in the forenoon. Mother and Lee went to the valley to stay all night. Will finished hauling the cord.
