203 Saturday February 4th 1888 Will passed a sleepless night with a lame arm caused by lifting heavy logs in the timber he has made four loads this week. May brought the children over for the day Mother and Father went over there to stay all night so the children stayed here. Wills arm is better tonight. Sunday February 5th 1888 I was busy about the work all the forenoon as Mary stayed with the children. John brought Mother and Father home before supper and took the children home. Will and I went to the Presbyterian church in the evening to hear the indian preach. Monday February 6th 1888 We had the washing done this forenoon and Mother went to town with John in the afternoon to attend the funeral of Kate Winchester. I was busy about the work and knit some on my stocking. Weather more moderate. Will for wood. Tuesday February 7th 1888 I was busy most of the forenoon doing the work. Will did not go to the valley today. There was a fire just afternoon over on the [Saltorn?]. Jay & Anna Denton were here for supper and to spend the evening. Weather cold. Wednesday February 8th 1888 It was a very cold day but Will went to the valley for wood. We were busy with the work all forenoon. Mother went to town in the afternoon. May went to town to stay all night, as she wanted to see Lizzie Luther married. Thursday February 9th 1888 We were busy about the work all the forenoon. John brought the girls over to spend the afternoon and him and Ott came over to supper and spent the evening Weather very cold again Friday February 10th 1888 I rode to town with Will of an errand and came back to help iron and get dinner. Mother went to town in the afternoon and I knit on my stocking. Will and I talked in the evening. Saturday February 11th 1888 I was working most of the forenoon. In the afternoon Will took me down to Aunt Marys. I stopped to see the girls a few moments. Will went back to town in the evening. I knit on my stocking.
