209 Thursday March 15th 1888 Mother and May finished ironing this forenoon and I worked to finish Mays dress and do some other sewing. Mother went to town in the afternoon. It was late when we got the supper work done and I wrote and read a little in the evening. Friday March 16th 1888 We soon got the work done up this morning and Mollie Robinson and Effie Lindley came to spend the day. The girls were over in the afternoon and we had a pleasant visit. Will and I wrote to Maggie Stewart and Mary Woolf in the evening. Weather pleasant today. Saturday March 17th 1888 It was a pleasant day and Mother went to town in the forenoon. I let May go as soon as she ate her dinner and it took me most of the afternoon to do up the work. Will went to town in the evening and we oiled the kitchen floor. Sunday March 18th 1888 Mother went to church in the forenoon. I felt awful bad all day. Ott was over all day and Hatt with the children were over in the afternoon. Will and I read in our own room all the evening. Weather warm for this time of year. Monday March 19th 1888 It was a faithful rainy day. May washed some things and put them in the garret. We churned and baked and in the afternoon knit some. Will went to town in the evening and May sat with me in my room. I was knitting. Tuesday March 20th 1888 I went to town this forenoon as soon as I got my work done up. I got May a new calico dress and was looking for paper for the dining room at Lees store. I went on down to Hatts and stayed till three oclock. I met Will in town and he came home with me. I worked a little in the evening. Wednesday March 21st 1888 It was a windy bad day. May did a great part of the rest of the washing. Will was sick all day. I sent for the Doctor in the afternoon. Lee got a boy to come over and do the work in the afternoon. I sat in the room with Will and knit in the evening.
