Saving...
210 Thursday March 22nd 1888 Weather still very windy and extremely cold for so late in the winter. Will feels some-what better. We were so unfortunate as to have a young calf die last night. I cut out a dress for May and sewed on it some today. I knit in the evening. The boy "Joe" came to work today that Will has hired for a year. Friday March 23rd 1888 I hurried with my work this morning and sat down to sew a little on Mays dress before dinner. Hatt came over to stay till after dinner. I finished Mays dress before supper and knit in the evening. Will was helping work most of the day. Saturday March 24th 1888 I hurried to do some of the ironing and my share of the work so I could go to town about eleven oclock. Will went with me. I got some groceries and met Will at Lees store and we selected paper for the dining room. We went on down to Hatts for dinner and in the afternoon I went with her and Mollie Stevens to the court house to attend the educational meeding. I enjoyed it very much. Will and I came home tonight about four oclock. May had brought the children over in the morning. Father and Mother went to town to stay all night. Robbie went home with them and Edith with Lee when he came to supper. This is Fathers birthday and they were going to have a few friends to spend the evening at Hatties. Sunday March 25th 1888 It is still windy. I was all forenoon doing up the work and getting dinner. I read a little in the afternoon. Father and Mother came home about four oclock. Ott came over to stay all night. I wrote some in the evening. Monday March 26th 1888 I finished Mays calico dress and began to work on an old one I was fixing for her. I felt badly and read a little at night went to bed early. Tuesday March 27th 1888 Willie and Brown started home this morning. Hatt and Fanny were over all the afternoon. I finished fixing Mays dress. The Chrisman boys started home in the night. Weather a little more pleasant. Maud and Pet both had colts last night.
