Saving...
212 Tuesday April 3rd 1888 I was sewing on Wills shirts what time I had from doing the house-work. It was rather a pleasant day. Rob would have been thirty four years old today if he had lived. Ott & Fan were over in the evening and I played cards awhile. Will went to town. Wednesday April 4th 1888 We washed this morning and the man came to put up the border in the dining room and Mother and I hung the pictures. We got done washing before eleven oclock and I went to town before dinner I sewed some in the afternoon and read in the evening Willie Bremner came back tonight. Mauds colt is dead. Thursday April 5th 1888 It was warm and pleasant this morning. Will went to cordville for feed, and plowed the rest of the day after coming back We got part of the ironing done and the summer kitchen cleaned up and a few more things washed. Joe cleaned out the hen-house for me in the afternoon. I read in the evening. Friday April 6th 1888 I finished the ironing this forenoon. The girls were over for awhile and they told that Hatt and John are going to have their house rebuilt. While they were here Mrs Emma Hart and her neice called. In the afternoon I wrote a letter to Mary Woolf and cut out another shirt for Will. Father and Mother went to town to stay all night. I sewed all the evening. Saturday April 7th 1888 I got on finely with my baking and other work in the forenoon. After dinner while May done up the work I finished Wills shirt and made me an apron. I then white-washed the hen-house and gathered the eggs. Mother came home after five oclock We had supper at six and Will and I went to town I spent the evening pleasantly at Hatties. Cool wind blowing today. Will finished fixing the fence between the corn field & pasture. Sunday April 8th 1888 I was busy all forenoon getting dinner. Mother went to church The folks were over in the afternoon. We were going to church in the evening but there were some young pigs to look after as will could not go very well.
