213 Monday April 9th 1888 It was a rainy day but Mother went to town early in the morning to help Hattie make soap. I cut out and sewed some on underclothes for Will. I sewed in the evening. May is thirteen years old today. Will put up the ash hopper in afternoon. Tuesday April 10th 1888 Weather cool and cloudy. I sewed some more today and Mother went to town in the afternoon. I finished four things in muslin to go in the washing tomorrow. Wednesday April 11th 1888 It was a good day for work though it blew up cool in the afternoon. We washed some ironed both and did some cleaning up. They are packing up things over to Hatties to have their house rebuilt and are all coming over here tomorrow. I was tired and went to bed early. Thursday April 12th 1888 I gave the lower story a good cleaning up this morning and Fanny and the children came over before noon. After dinner Fanny and I put up beds in the parlor they had sent over and got their things unpacked. I then went over town about an hour They were just finishing putting things away at the house and before seven oclock they were all over for supper. Friday April 13th 1888 I was busy all forenoon doing help and Anna helped me give the upper story a good cleaning up. The girls and Mother went to town in the afternoon and Anna and I worked out in the chicken yard. I knit a little in the evening while the folks played whist. Will was down to Aunt Ems for a hog today and in the evening went to town awhile. Saturday April 14th 1888 I went to town the first thing with Ott and bought a new top buggy at Frank Towners for a Will a birth-day present but gave it to him today. I paid $110.00 for it. Ott got a new one and hoisted the old one of. I went to Moores and got curtains for Hattie that she had selected yesterday and bought some for us that Mother gave me the money to buy. Ott brought his buggy at noon and the girls were riding in the afternoon. Will brought his home. Mother and I were home in afternoon. The folks played whist in evening. I read. Will was in town.
