Saving...
214 Sunday April 15th 1888 I was busy all the forenoon getting the dinner. The folks all went to church but John & Hatt they went out to Dentons for a ride. Late in the afternoon Will hitched Maud to the new buggy and we took some flowers to Robs grave. We soon came back as the wind blew too strong to be pleasant and the mare did not drive gentle. We read in the evening and to bed early Monday April 16th 1888 We got at the washing as soon as possible after breakfast and had it done by noon. Will planted potatoes in the afternoon. I put away the meat and cleaned up the chicken yard. Mr Chrisman went to town to board and Father and Mother went to the valley for a few days visit. Weather chilly Tuesday April 17th 1888 We got up early this morning and I ironed some before the folks were ready for breakfast. We got the ironing all done by eleven oclock. After dinner Anna gave the kitchen a good cleaning up. I mended the clothes and put them away. Will went to town after supper. I knit a little. Fanny did not feel well today "Nell" mare has a fine colt. Wednesday April 18th 1888 We moved things out of the parlor into the room up stairs that Mr Chrisman had left so Hattie can have more roon. I did a lot of baking in the forenoon and after looking after the chickens in the afternoon I went to town I attended to a number of errands and called to see Aunty It was nearly supper time when I got home.Father and Mother came tonight. Will began plowing the Sangster land this afternoon. Thursday April 19th 1888 I hurried through my work this morning as we looked for Aunt Mary. The girls were invited out to Dentons and took an early start but Fanny got sick and they came back and I went with Hattie. We had a pleasant visit. The weather was cold and windy. Will was plowing all day. Friday April 20th 1888 We washed again today and I sewed a little in the afternoon. Fanny did not feel well today. Mother & Hatt went to town in the afternoon. Wills fist hurt him very much tonight from plowing We sat up stairs in the evening to read.
