Friday May 11th 1888 It rained hard all last night and kept at it a great part of today. We got the ironing done before noon and I had to fix the chickens some in the afternoon. I knit in the evening. Will went to town. Fanny and Ott got back from Davenport tonight. They went yesterday. Saturday May 12th 1888 The weather was more pleasant. I was busy about the house all forenoon. We had tirkey for dinner. The girls went to town in the afternoon and Mother went with Aunt Melissa as she and Aunt Walker were going to begin house keeping today. It was two years ago today since Will and I were married. I cannot realize how the time has passed. Sunday May 13th 1888 It was a cold windy day. I was busy about the work all the forenoon and read in our room all the afternoon while Will slept. In the evening Will, Hatt and I went to church and stopped to see the Awtry's before we went. Monday May 14th 1888 we washed in the forenoon and I was in town in the afternoon I got some groceries and a new dress and beads to trim a waist for myself. I was tired and went to bed early. Tuesday May 15th 1888 I helped Anna and we had the ironing done before noon. I commenced work on my waist in the afternoon. worked a little in the evenings and went to bed early. Wednesday May 16th 1888 I helped Anna and we gave the house a good sweeping in the forenoon and Anna went to town in the afternoon Mother and the girls were over too. I worked some on my waist and was out looking after the chickens some. Thursday May 17th 1888 I was doing some baking this morning and worked on my waist in the afternoon and evening. It was raining again today. Friday May 18th 1888 I was busy about the work most of the day. Anna went home for two days. The girsl were in town all forenoon. Will made me a large coop to feed chickens in today.
