Sunday May 27th 1888 I was busy about the house all the forenoon I was going to write a letter in the afternoon but felt so sleepy I took a nap. Will was gone to town. I worte to Joe Woolf in the eve. Monday May 28th 1888 It was a rainy forenoon but the girls were in town and did not get home till dinner was ready I worked some on my waist in the evening and in the afternoon went with Will over to Lucas and down to Evele Jine to call on Mattie Oustat. Tuesday May 29th 1888 We did a large washing in the forenoon and I was going to work on Mays dress but did not know how to fix it. Aunt Mary and Mattie called here. After supper I went to town. Was up to Ashleys and Will called for me. Weather pleasant but cool. Wednesday May 30th 1888 I helped iron in the forenoon and in the afternoon I began work on Mays dress. I sewed some in the evening. Thursday May 31st 1888 I worked all my spare time on Mays dress and Anna and Mother done most of the work including a large washing. Friday June 1st 1888 Ott and Fanny have been married a year today. I sewed some on Mays dress in the morning while Mother helped Anna iron. The girls were gone to town. Mrs. Home and another lady spent the day here. I went to town in the afternoon and ordered a lot of groceries. I sewed a little in the evening. Saturday June 2nd 1888 I finished Mays dress this forenoon and did some baking I went to town soon after dinner and got me a hat trimmed and a new dress. I was very tired and went to bed early. Will finished replanting the field of corn here at home. Sunday June 3rd 1888 I was at home at work all forenoon. We sent for the two Aunties. Will and I drove down to Aunt Eves in the afternoon. We met a great many of the relatives there. We got home in time for supper. The folks went to Custers in the evening [I?] [sewed?] a little and went to bed early.
