Monday June 4th 1888 We got the washing done in the forenoon and I was sewing some in the afternoon. Mother and I went to town in the afternoon to see Fanny and Hattie start for Berlington Will was fixing the barn yard fence. Tuesday June 5th 1888 It was a hot day but we got the ironing done before noon. I put the clothes away in the afternoon and did some sewing. After supper Will and I went to town I stopped at the Aunties for awile. Wednesday June 6th 1888 We got our work done up this morning before Grand-ma Aunt Lydia and Mattie came for dinner. In the afternoon I sat down on the hill with Mattie to watch the game of ball. I put the children to bed in the evening. Thursday June 7th 1888 I was busy all the forenoon doing baking and getting dinner. I sat down to sew awhile in the afternoon and visit with the folks. Weather quite warm. Friday June 8th 1888 I did baking this morning while mother went to town to order groceries. I had an awful bad cold but worked some in the afternoon on Fathers shirts I was fixing to put beads on my waist in the evening while putting the children to sleep. Saturday June 9th 1999 I was working about the kitchen all the forenoon At noon the folks all came from Berlington. The girls had enjoyed themselves very much and Cherlie and family were looking well. We were visiting in the afternoon and eve. Sunday June 10th 1888 I was busy all forenoon helping with dinner and looking after my chickens. Will and I walked out to see the corn field in the afternoon. Mother and Father went to the funeral of E. C. Lee. Cherlie and Ida took a ride after they come back and after supper John & Hatt, Ott & Fan walked over town. weather much cooler today.
