Monday June 18th 1888 It was a very warm day We did a large washing in the forenoon and I was doing a little sewing in the afternoon. I rolled the clothes up and went to bed early. Tuesday June 19th 1888 We got the ironing done before noon. Willie Brewer went home this morning and Fanny went over to the banquet with Ott. Mary Briggs and Mollie Stevens come before dinner. Mollie and Hattie were over town in the afternoon. I fixed Willies room up a little and visited with Mary. Wednesday June 20th 1888 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. Mary and Fanny went out to see Anna Denton . We were all invited down to Aunt Marys for supper but it rained so we could not go. Uncle Jim brought Mrs Denlap here and took Mary Briggs away before it rained. Thursday June 21st 1888 Will and I went to town in the phaeton this morning. as soon as we come home I got dinner. he is sowing grass seed on the meadow where the squirrels ate the corn about four oclock he hitched to the phaeton and we took Mrs Dunlap down to Uncle Jims. We stayed till after supper and brought Mary Briggs to the depot an hour before time and hurried home to escape a rain storm. Friday June 22nd 1888 Hattie was doing some washing for herself. I was busy doing other work. I got some of the screens up. Will went to the valley and did not get home till two oclock. he got a new screen door in the afternoon and put up the rest of the doors for me. I was very tired and went to bed early. Saturday June 23rd 1888 I was at work nearly all the forenoon putting [??etting] in the summer kitchen and library windows. I helped Hattie some with her ironing. The girls were over town in the afternoon. I cut and made Will a pair of drawers. We have got the yard all cleaned up and the garden gone over since the rains. I was very tired and went to bed early.
