Sunday July 8th 1888 It was a rainy sort of a day and some what cooler than before. We rested and visited with the folks that were here. I wrote a letter to the works family in the afternoon. Monday July 9th 1888 Will took Aunt Lydia and Grand-ma down to Uncle Jims this morning. We picked the berries and went out to the garden awhile. As soon as we ate dinner May and I went to work in the garret where we put in the whole afternoon cleaning. mother was in town awhile. Tuesday July 10th 1888 We worked in the garret all the forenoon to get through and we done a big washing in the afternoon. Mother helped with the work all day. Wednesday July 11th 1888 I was up early and did all the ironing before going to town at ten oclock to spend the day with all the girl cousins at Hatties. I had a pleasant visit and come home about foir oclock. Mother was over in the afternoon and did not get home till supper time. I cleaned out my closet before supper. Thursday July 12th 1888 I washed a lot of rags and carpets this forenoon and just before noon the Halson girls and Lif Stevens came for a visit. Mattie Oustatt and her little girl are here I worked in the rags after dinner. The weather was very warm. Friday July 18th 1888 I ironed some this morning and helped get the dinner. The girls were over in the afternoon and I worked in the rags. Will finished the corn plowing today. Saturday July 14th 1888 It was a rainy forenoon. I was working about the house and doing baking. It stopped raining in the afternoon and Mattie and I went to town. did mending in the evening. Sunday July 13th 1888 Will took Mattie and her little girl to the valley this morning Mother and I rested and got some dinner by the time he got back. I wrote a letter to the Works in the afternoon. I sat on the porch in the evening. The folks were over in the town.
