MOnday July 23rd 1888 May and I were all the forenoon doing the washing and washing a carpet. We both went to town in the afternoon. I got some things to send home to Lee and ordered groceries. It was my birthday so I staid over to Hatts for a visit and Will come to supper. Ott brought me home after supper. I did some work after I come home. It has been a warm day. Will and Joe took the paper of the room up stairs. I got new paper today. Tuesday July 24th 1888 I did the ironing in the morning and Will cleaned the paper of the kitchen wall. I went to town with May after dinner to get paper for it and the man got part of it on. I washed the wood work and after he left worked on till nearly nine oclock to finish papering it. Wednesday July 25th 1888 I cleaned up my room this morning and cut out the fly covers I got for the black team. I worked till four in the afternoon to finish them and then cleaned the wood-work in the room up stairs that is being prepared. Lee still keeps sick. Thursday Jult 26th 1888 Mother and I made the carpet we washed for the room up stairs int he forenoon. In the afternoon I put it down and took up the sitting room carpet and the one in the bay window. weather very warm indeed. Friday July 27th 1888 I went to town with Will this morning to get a few things and after I come back put in the time till noon in the summer kitchen. We got that all cleaned up. I was working all the afternoon putting up certains. Saturday July 28th 1888 I worked all forenoon putting things to rights in the house and doing some baking. In the afternoon I fixed up the side-board and a few other little things and then took a bath and said done to house cleaning. Will hauled two loads of hay from Stimmels. Mother and Father were over town after supper I did some sewing in the evening.
