Friday August 24th 1888 Will and I took an early start to the valley to invite the young folks up to visit on Sunday . We had a pleasant drive and were home by eleven oclock. I wrote some in the afternoon and sewed a little. Saturday August 25th 1888 I was busy doing baking in the forenoon and Mother dressed a tirkey and did other work. George and Sue come back today. I was in town a part of the afternoon and at Hatts awhile. The boys went to town after supper. Sunday August 26th 1888 We got our work done in good shape and all our company come but the Stevens young folks and Hart and [Orive?] [Our?] dinner was nice and we did have a real good quiet visit. We got a little lunch in the evening and I wrote some before going to bed. weather sultry again. Monday August 27th 1888 I helped Maggie some with my sewing today. I do not feel well. George and Sue are still here. weather cooler. Tuesday August 28th 1888 Will took me over town this morning to do some trading I helped Maggie sew a little after I come back but went to bed before noon and was sick all afternoon. Wednesday August 29th 1888 I felt so much better that I helped Maggie sew a great part of the day. The folks all went to the fair today after an early dinner and we did not get home till supper time. We are getting a good start on the work. Thursday August 30th 1888 I packed a valise apiece for Father and Mother and Will and I took them to town before noon. After an early dinner Will went to the fair and the folks started to Berlington. Friday August 31st 1888 I had ironing to do this morning and did not get to help Maggie early. We made a good days work. Will and I went to Clutes for an hour in the evening to a reception given for Mr. C. before he goes to California.
