Saturday September 1st 1888 I helped Maggie all I possibly could and she got things so I can finish them in a few days. I was in town right away after dinner and got me a white dress and was too tired to sew any in the eve. Will went to town. Sunday September 2nd 1888 I was at work about the house all forenoon and in the afternoon Will and I were walking out on the place Arth Folson was here awhile I wrote to Vene. We went to bed early. weather very pleasant. Monday September 3rd 1888 I got the work done as soon as possible and sat down to sew. Hattie was over part of the day to put up some tomatoes. Tuesday September 4th 1888 I sewed some today. Mother come home in this afternoon I went over to Mrs Mohanas tea at four oclock and did not get home till seven. sewed in the evening. Wednesday September 5th 1888 I helped with the washing and the other work. George and Sue were here a little while. I sewed what little time I had Mother was working with drying corn and fixing crab apples. Thursday Septemner 6th 1888 I ironed some in the morning and helped get the dinner. Mother was drying corn and making jelly. I sewed all the spare time I had and some in the evening. George & Sue, Hattie, Aunt Mary & Uncle Jim were here awhile I walked over town just before supper for somethings. Friday September 7th 1888 I helped a little with some washing and went to town. I helped with getting dinner and sewed in the afternoon & eve. Mother drying corn. Saturday September 8th 1888 I ironed and helped with the work all forenoon. I sewed in the afternoon. Will signed the lease today for the old farm of Mr. Shortless. John started east this morning for a visit to his Father. It is eight years today since he and Hatt were married. Mother went to town to stay all night. I was very tired and went to bed early.
