their place. The afternoon and evening was spent visiting with the folks. I did not feel very well and we all went to bed early. It was four years this evening since Rof died. Sunday September 16th 1888 It was a rainy gloomy day. We sat about the house all day to visit and nearly talked Will Woolf into the idea of coming to Iowa City to look up a location. I still feel a little under the weather today. Monday September 17th 1888 Will Woolf brought us into town this morning. I had a letter from Mother which I answered. It was so drizzling that we could not go ride in the afternoon. Will and I went over to Venes and I stayed till after supper. Uncle Jacob was there. Will come for me at eight oclock and we went to Duncans. Tuesday September 18th 1888 Will Lizzie and I went down to see the folks in the country Mrs. Duncan was down at Maggies as she was sick. We ate both dinner and supper with Flora and made a call at Will Duncans. It was nearly bed-time when we got home. weather pleasanter. Wednesday September 19th 1888 Will and I went out to John Sherts for a call and then back to Herestons where we stayed till after dinner. We come back to Duncans about four oclock and then got ready and went to Allen Taylors where we took supper and spent the evening. weather warm again. Thursday September 20th 1888 I wrote some this morning and Will and I got ready and went over to Eurena Allens to spend the day. We met Dr Harrington on the street. The day was warm and in the afternoon I went back to Duncans to put on a light dress. Friday September 21st 1888 We stayed last night at Ems and Will started home this morning. There was a hard rain in the night. I went down to Duncans to change my dress and went over to Mrs Sanfords by eleven oclock. It rained part of the day I stayed till after supper went back to Duncans to stay all night I miss Will very much.
