Saving...
Saturday September 22, 1888 I went to McKinsteys to call this forenoon and on over to Venes to call for an hour. I got back to Duncans about noon to find Mrs D- there alone Lizzie had gone down to Maggies. I helped get some dinner and wrote to Will and Charlie about five oclock I went over to Bakers to stay all night. I spent a very pleasant evening visitng with Mr & Mrs Baker. Sunday Septmber 23rd 1888 I went over to Duncans in time to dress for church. Lizzie came up this morning with Morice and Flora to have little Grace baptized. I went back to Duncans to spend the rest of the day. But went up to church with Lizzie in the evening and back to Bakers to stay all night. Monday September 24th 1888 I got a letter from Will this morning . he found things all right at home but was delayed in getting there. I went down to Duncans after getting the mail and helped Mrs Duncan get dinner. Lizzie went back to Maggies again I wrote a long letter to Will and called at Mrs Cobeons before going over to mrs Woolfs where I stayed all night The two girls started to Louisville tonight at eight oclock We went down to the depot with them. weather very pleasant. Tuesday September 25th 1888 I waited for the mail and then went over to Venes where I spent a good day with her. When I got back to Duncans at supper time Lizzie and Flora were there to tell me good bye I spent the evening at home. Will Duncan and wife were there awhile. I picked up some things ready to pack. Wednesday September 26th 1888 I packed my trunk before breakfast and mr Snyder came for me about eight oclock. Laura mason was at the depot. I wrote to Will while waiting at Peoria I met Mr. and Mrs Halson there on their way home from Ohio. The train was late starting from Peoria and the ride over very tedious. Charlie was at the train and quite out of patience with the delay. I was very tired and much chilled when we got up to his house. Ida was looking for us.
