Thursday September 27th 1888 I went down town this morning anad wrote some notes. I did a little shopping and home for dinner. I talked with Ida all afternoon about May. Charlie at home yet tonight. Friday September 28th 1888 I visited Mays school this morning and found she is doing very well. I then went over to see Miss Lewis and stayed till after dinner. She called with me at Mrs Gilletts before I went down to the Harris house for supper. Birdie went with me to meet Will. Ida came just as we were leaving the depot. I was awful glad to see Will. Charlie went away early this morning. Saturday September 29th 1888 I went over to Frank Winters in the forenoon and Will came for dinner. At four oclock we went on South hill and called at Tellents and Forneys. When we got to Charlies at six oclcok we found Uncle Jim Stevens and Lif there. they were just getting home from Ohio. They went to the train in a little time. We spent the evening there at home. Sunday September 30th 1888 I had so bad a cold that I was about sick but Will and I went down to the Harris house for dinner and Charlie and Ida went to church. We came back to Charlies the middle of the afternoon. Charlie went away again tonight Will went down to the depot with him. but was not gone long. Monday October 1st 1888 I felt some better with my cold and Will and I came home in the forenoon. Hatt and Fanny were at the depot and we went up there and stayed till after dinner. When we got home we found the folks washing I helped put the clothes out visited with Mother. felt tired enough to go to bed early. Tuesday October 2nd 1888 I helped with the ironing this morning and Adda and I got dinner as mother went to town. Will was busy finishing his lease with Sharpless. I unpacked my trunk in the afternoon Will went back to town in the evening Mother and I sat in the parlor. Willie Bremer came tonight.
