Saving...
Tuesday October 30th 1888 It was a very pleasant day. I helped with the work all the forenoon. I got a letter from Charlie at noon in regard to May. I went to town soon after dinner and was to see Dr. Rockey and get medicine for my cold. I went down to see the girls and answered Charlies letter. I staid there for an early supper and the girls come home with me to spend the evening. John came after them. Ott went to Cedar Rapids tonight. I bid Pottle good-by at Hatts he started home tonight. Wednesday October 31st 1888 Mother helped me give the house a good cleaning up this morning. And Adda and I got the dinner Mrs. Sanders and Mrs Talbott were here. It was a pleasant day. Will brought a load of wood from the valley. Mother went to town to stay all night and see the Republican rally. It looked fine from here. Thursday November 1st 1888 I was at home all day.
