Saving...
Monday November 5th 1888 I was sick all day long that I did I not sit up an hour Will had all the cattle dehorned this morning and was busy with other work the rest of the day that he was in the house but little. Tuesday November 6th 1888 This is election day. I felt able to sit up in the afternoon the girls were here. I had a letter from Charles he had not received the one I wrote last week. Will went to town in the evening awhile though he had been at work husking today. Wednesday November 7th 1888 The Dr called to see me again this morning. I felt some better and was up in the afternoon. The girls were here for a little while to bring me some underwear. I sat up in the evening and did a little work. Lee who was up all night to hear election returns was at home all the evening. he was elected to his office but the national and most all the state and county tickets of the Republicans were elected. We talked with Lee a great deal about May tonight. Thursday November 8th 1888 It looked like rain but Will went to the field to husk but was driven in before noon. I got up and dressed at noon and Will put up a stove in our room, he was gone to town in the afternoon. I helped fix up the room after it was warm and done some mending. Will brought a letter from Emma Woolf Allen. I finished the lace for my shirt tonight. Friday November 9th 1888 I got up this morning soon after having my breakfast and cleaned up my room. Will put the parlor stove in the sitting room. Ott came over this morning with a letter he had got from Charlie. he started to Berlington at four oclock It was a dark rainy afternoon. Will spent the evening at home. Saturday November 10th 1888 I was terribly sick all night and slept but little. I did not get up till after noon. The girls were over in the afternoon and had the children with them. I was very tired and nervous by supper time but felt better in the evening
