Saving...
Sunday November 11, 1888 The Dr was over to see me and changed the medicine again I did not get up till after I had my dinner. Ott got home from Berlington this morning and the folks were all over in the afternoon. Charlie started to take May to he Fathers last night at half past seven. I ate my supper in the dining room and spent the evening in reading. Monday November 12th 1888 I got up after I had my breakfast and cleaned up my room I wrote a letter to Charlie and Ida in the morning after finishing the book I was reading yesterday. In the afternoon I wrote up my accounts and worked on the stand cover I began last week. Mother was in town in the afternoon. The men were husking. Tuesday November 13th 1888 I felt as well as yesterday and was up all day, ate my meals in the dining room and knit and worked on my stand cover while in my room. I coughed a little more today. Wednesday November 14th 1888 I passed a bad night and did not feel so well today. Mother went over to the see the doctor soon after dinner and to get some things. The girls were over all afternoon. I knit some. There was a big republican jollification over the result of the election tonight. Will went over town he has been husking corn all day. We could see the fireworks from my room. Thursday November 15th 1888 Dr was over to see me again this morning and late in the day I put a meal poultice on my chest and felt much relieved. We got a long letter from Charles today giving a full description of the home he left May in. It will be a great change for her. I wrote to Father in the afternoon. Friday November 16th 1888 I still put poultices on my chest and am getting relief from them I do not cough near so much. I wrote a letter to May in the forenoon. Mother was in town nearly all the afternoon. Will went to the valley for a load of corn. I took a nap late in the afternoon and quite well after that. I had a letter from Irene.
