Saturday November 17th 1888 I felt pretty well and knit considerable during the day to finish one of my stockings. I now have two pair done. I wrote to Charlie in the afternoon. Will was to the valley for corn and went to town in the evening. weather chilly. Sunday November 18th 1888 It was a real pleasant day. I was helping about the house some in the forenoon. Ott & the girls were over with E in the afternoon with another letter from Charlie. We talked all afternoon. Will was in town. I wrote and read in the evening. Monday November 19th 1888 Will took an early start to the valley to fix fence and was gone all day. Peter brought home potatoes Will had bought and Will brought wood. It was a lovely day We had washing done. I done some mending. Thursday November 20th 1888 The boys went back to the valley to fix fence and brought home corn. I helped some with the work in the forenoon. We had company most the afternoon - Mrs Norse and her Aunt and Mrs Vanfleet. I felt very tired in the evening. It was four years today since Charlie & Ida have married. Wednsday November 21st 1888 Will took the cattle to the valley this morning and brought home the last load of corn. The girls were here awhile in the morning on their way over to Custers. Paul died yesterday afternoon at two oclock Mother was over in the afternoon. I wrote a letter to Will Work. Will was working about the place all afternoon and went to town in the evening. Thursday November 22nd 1888 Adda done another washing this morning. I helded some with getting the dinner. Mother and Lee went to Paul Custers funeral in the afternoon. I had callers. Mrs Stillman and her mother were here. I was out doors awhile today Will is busy husking corn. I worked on a stand cover what I felt like working and read a little in the evening.
