Friday November 23th 1888 Adda did the ironing in the forenoon and I helped Mother some about the dinner. Mother heard Ott was sick and she went to town just before noon. I put in a great part of the afternoon writing a letter to Irene. Will was very tired from husking and we went to bed early. Saturday November 24th 1888 I was busy helping with the work in the forenoon. Mother was to town in afternoon. I had a letter from May at noon in which she says she likes living with her Father very much and one he had written to Charles in which he says he is happy to have her with him. I worked all afternoon doing mending for Will. he was working in the corn all day and went to town a while in the evening. Sunday November 25th 1888 It was a fine day and Mother and Will went to the valley. I helped Adda about the work and was out walking about some after dinner. John & Hatt were here awhile with Robbie and Mr & Mrs Comey called too. I read a little in the evening and we went to bed early Will was over town a litte while after supper for my whisley. Monday November 26th 1888 It was a gloomy day but we had the washing done and the boys were husking corn. I worked on a stand cover some and read a little besides helping with the work.
