Thursday December 6th 1888 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. I gave my room a good cleaning. Uncle Jacob was here for dinner. he did not stop long. And mother went to town in the afternoon. I got to work on a shirt for myself. I read most of the evening. Will brought a load of wood. Friday December 7th 1888 We worked very hard all forenoon with the meat of the hog Will killed and cut up yesterday and then we done some washing too. Will brought a load of wood in the forenoon and soon after dinner took me to town to get some work done on my teeth but I could not get it done. I did some shopping and went down to the girls after riding awhile. We both read in our room all evening. Saturday December 8th 1888 It proved to be a very pleasant day. Will brought a load of wood before noon and we got mince meat made cherning and ironing done before getting dinner. Uncle was here for dinner. Will took me right over town to get my tooth filled before three oclock when he took me down to see the girls one hour. We both read all evening. Sunday December 9th 1888 It was quite a pleasant day. Mother went to church and did not come home till after dinner. Will and I took a ride in the afternoon. The folks were here awhile. I wrote in the evening. Monday December 10th 1888 It was a splendid day. Pete took me over towm this morning as Will had to go to the valley. I got me a new dress and took it to have it cut. I spent the day with the girls and Will come after me. I knit in the evening. Mother and Adda did a big days work while I was gone. Tuesday December 11th 1888 I helped with the ironing this morning. And sewed some on my skirt. Will took me over town in the afternoon to get my dress fitted. When I come back he took Mother over to stay all night. I knit some in the evening. Will went back to town awhile. weather colder yesterday. Will brought wood today.
