Saving...
Wednesday December 19th 1888 I was busy about the work all the forenoon and I finished my dress in the afternoon. Mother came from the valley in the morning and went to town in the afternoon. Two of the boys went home today. I read nearly all evening. Thursday December 20th 1888 We got up early and the rest of the boys started home. It was a busy day till about four oclock when Will took Adda home for a visit; he had been in the country to a sale. We had washing done and Mother gave the boarders rooms all a good cleaning up. I helped what little I could. I packed Mays things and started them by express this evening. weather pleasant for time of year. Friday December 21st 1888 We soon got the work done up and Mother went to town before dinner. I gave the silver a good cleaning up, and read part of the afternoon and evening besides knitting a little. Saturday December 22nd 1888 Mother finished the ironing this evening and went over to the depot to meet Charlie and Ida. They come and went to Hatties. She come home soon after dinner and Will took me over to see them. I went to see the Dr as I have taken fresh cold and do not feel so well. I knit in the eve. Sunday December 23rd 1888 It was a pleasant day the folks are over from town and Mr Magill came for his dinner. I did not feel much like talking and was tired and went to bed early. Monday December 24th 1888 I did not get up in the forenoon and Will went and brought Adda back. Mother went to town in the afternoon. I was up and wrote a letter to Vene. I had a tirkey dressed and sent to Hattie. They sent over our Christmas in the evening. Ida gave me a fine towel, Hattie gave me a work basket and Will a couple of handkerchiefs. Fanny gave me a pretty splasher done in blue for my room and Will a pen wiper. Lee gave me a pair of [illegible] shoes. Will saw the Dr for me this morning and got me medicine. I went to bed early tonight.
