January, WEDNESDAY, 8, 1862. We started from Mr [Greenlees?] this morning at 7 o clock and arrived at Genoa Bluffs at 12 o clock Stoped and ordered Dinner And Oh what a Dinner we proceeded thence to the Bold City of Marengo and after Sautering around and viewing the City some time we came to the conclusion we would Purchase iff our Capital held out but It failed- we had very good fare and a jolly time we went to Church at night where they was an Extremely Smart minister but I did not get any Religion but we will leave this Place soon-
