This is a very cold day not much doing in the way of trade Though we cannot complain of our days work for it was better than usual Unkle Dan has bought a new sleigh and now I suppose we will have a sleigh ride often He had better ride after night or people will take a fancy to his sleigh. He and I were out last night and had a little [hold?] there is a Donation Party at Mr. Gatises this evening but I have nothing to Donate therefore I will not go Mr Cleaves is going I believe I will go to the Presbyterian Donation when they have one.
