February, SUNDAY, 16, 1862. This is a very nice winter day and were all at Church a part of us went to hear Mr Shearer He took for the Foundation of his remarks the 3rd Chapter of 1st John and 3rd verse. The Congregation was very large to day and Mr Shearer gave us a fine sermon although is was a very short one Just the kind I like in cold days. I expect we will have to go to U.P. Church this Evening and listen to a long sermon. This would be a very nice day for Sleighriding iff it was not sunday I hope it will continue this way till tomorrow Evening and then we will have a big sleigh ride...
