February, THURSDAY, 20, 1862. This morning it has seaced snowing and the snow is some three feet deep and drifted so badly in Places that people can hardly get to town we got no mail yesterday but this morning we recived some news and we hope the slaughter has not been so great as was anticipated on our side as yet we have not received the names of any of our wounded or kiled It is now 5 o'clock and no mail yet, I have not been very well to day and I thought of going to sit up with Mr Ball who is lying very low at present. there is nothing more worthy of note I believe so I will quit...
