February, Saturday, 22, 1862. This is the day Recommended by President Lincoln for us to thank God for our success in Driving the rebels from Ft Donaldson and other Important points in our United States of America. Our party that were out sleighriding last night had rather a good time I made several very desirable acquaintences Mr Cleaves is sick to day and Mr. Brokaw has gone sleighriding so I have the store all to my self and I could take a good sleep Iff it was not troubled with customers The mail has just arrived and I must go to the P O and get the news
