March, SATURDAY, 1, 1862. The wind blowes verry cold this morning and in fact it has changed to be very cold weather again Last night I sat up with Mr Ball again I dont think Hee will ever get well. we received no news Last night from the war Department at all, this is going to be another very dull day ff I dont mistake I would like so much to get a letter from my Brother and sister my Father but it appears as iff they have forgotten mee. Tom [Allen?] was just in here and Hee wants me to go over to Brighton with Him to see the Miss B.D. I would Like to take this California trip they talk about very much
