March, Tuesday, 11, 1862. A very Gloomy Foggy morning this and look like it would snow more soon I thought winter was about over but I believe it will continue for some time now I have been thinking something of going to California this spring but I fear I shall not be able to rais the means this spring, The mail has just arrived and Brings good news Gen Curtis has succeeded in Taking the notorious Rebel Price and his army and our troops occupy Manases Think they will make short work of Sesession now Tom Allen was here just now I dont think he has the right number altogether
