April, Friday, 11, 1862. This is a very disagreeable day and not many People in Town Iff the roads does not soon dry up I think we will have to. It has been several nights since I was out calling so I think I will have to go out on that business tonight, we look for the Mail every few moments now all eyes are anxiously looking in that direction, while I write the whistle blows now all is excitement, I am sorry to record that the mail Brought us no further Particulars of the Late battle, It has now commenced to rain again Oh, when will it cease, this desperate Gloomy weather, but I must go home to supper.
