Saving...
May, Tuesday, 20, 1862. The weather is not quite so cold this morning as it was yesterday. I think it will be warm enough after awhile. My Mother is talking of starting to Ohio next week. I do not like to have her go but it is the best place I know of now perhaps there will be a more convenient way opened up after awhile. The mail brought no news of Importence to day except that President Lincoln will not endorse General Hunters Proclamation. I have just returned from supper and a grand sup it was too for our Folks had gone visiting and such a supper as the Children gets up I dont admire much.
