August, TUESDAY, 12, 1862. This day is very nice air soft and Balmy I have writen two letters to day and I have determined to go to war. Al Thompson received His Comission to day and He and are going to get up a company for the war. We will certainly make a big effort at least. I dont fear Drafting at all but I am tierd of this Town. the Excitement is tremendous I never saw its equal, there will be a show in Town Tomorrow and we will try and be present. I shall call on some of the Ladies to night.
