August, THURSDAY, 14, 1862. This was a very nice day and I have been loafing about Town all day trying to get volunteers but we dont get many they are very nearly all picked up in my opinion but we will still try a little longer, but Iff any one can get them we can, George has had a very dull day in the store I think by the look of the Books we cannot look for mutch trade these times. I received a note to day from a Lady to call on her last evening. Iff I. had only got the note in time I should have had a good time who cares for Expenses.
