August, FRIDAY, 15, 1862. This is a very plesant day and one of the greatest for Excitement I ever saw. there was over one hundred men enlisted to day in all the companys, men are wild with Excitement and all want to go to war, young and old I have been running all day recruiting and Oh but I am tierd of it but it will take hard work to get up a Company and we know it so we go at it with that Calculation we do, I think now we will fill our Comp by the first September but I mus retire for I feel bad.
