1865 April the 5 I sit down to write in answer to your letter of March the 22 whitch came to hand last knight and was gladly recievd it had been two months since we had hurd from you and many have been my anxieties since we last hurd from you but we knew that you was marching and there was no news from Shermans for a number of weeks onely by rebel papers I have written four letters to you since Delass died and I hope you have got some of them by this time I wrote to you all the particulars of his Death as near as I could and about the things that Milo sent to Delass when he was at Anapolis and told you that I wanted you should see Greely and if he could give any satisfactory why he did not go and see Delass it will be a grate satisfaction to us all and what he did with the letter that Milo sent to the Delass by Greely
