There seems to be a calm now in all the departments but perhaps it will soon commence with more fury. than ever. General Grant has oeen made a Lieutenant Gen.. and now will probaly be in Gen. Halleckes place and things will be conducted rather different I think in the Army of the Potomac now that Army is going to be reorganized the papers say, last nights Nashville paper said, "the rumor was that the 11th.& 12th. Corps was going back to the Potomac, but rumor tells lots of lies now days so I cant believe this story rumor has started. I had as soon stay here as go there now. Monroe is here now and it seems a little as it used to before the Battle of Chancellorville though our Coy. is not only about one third as large now as then.
