Monday June 20th,, 1864 I go to the Regiment this morning and begin to feel quite well, very mudy. some skirmishing this morning, rainy today. Tuesday June 21st,, Relieved by the fourth Corps and moved to the right some distance threw up breastworks, rainy today Wednesday June 22d,, The enemy fell back a little way last night and we advanced and threw up breastworks. about four P.M. the Rebels attacted the first Division and were repulsed with great loss from our Artillery lay quiet all night. Thursday June 23d,, Finished our breastworks and lay in them all day and all night some skirmishing today, and heavy firing in front of the fourth Corps, warm Friday June 24th,, Lay still all day very warm some Skirmishing but no general engagement on the right. Saturday June 25th,, Wrote a letter to Mother today. Lay still all day and rested some very warm today Sunday June 26th,, 1864 Lay quiet all day very warm today.
