that finished and went back to our old camp then we were sent to complete the road and guard the Ponto Bridges We started with the Bridges and it commenced raining and it rained all night so it made it very muddy and impossable to move Artillery or Pontons, The Ponton Bridges were strung all along the road and the most mud I ever saw I saw twenty four horses on one small Cannon and could not stir it. If I could see you all I could tell you a great deal how this war is working one thing I can say it dont suit me very well
