Camp John Manley Saturday March 4th,,/63 Dear Mother and Friends I thought I would converse with you a little by way of the faithful pen. I expect that Stiles Ellsworth will get a furlough to night, for his papers have gone out and expect them back tonight. I have concluded to send home my Overcoat and one shirt, which I have packed up and shall send by Stiles. Delos and I are in good health and fair prospect to remain so for any thing that I see.
