Eleventh Corps Hospital 2 Division Brooks Station Friday June 12th,,/63, Va. Dear Friends It is with pleasure that I seat myself to write you a few lines this pleasant morning I got Mothers letter yesterday morning, Delos sent it down from Camp. I was very glad to hear from home for it has been quite a long time since I have heard from home, before I got that letter. I have written one letter to Libbie since I have been here and only three or four days since I wrote one to Mother (Vertically, from bottom left:-) I dont know as you can read this for it is written (Continued, at top of page:-) both ways, now please remember me to all the friends and young folks in Leon. this from your son M.W.D. (Vertically, at mid right:-) please write often
