until late so we did not set our tents. Tell Mother her native State is the hilliest place place I ever saw and that I have not saw 10 acres of level ground since I came into the State. I will write again soon when I have more leisure. I must stop as they are packing up to march Direct to Clarksburg Virginia in care of Cap Bennett Company I 15th Reg. Ind Volunteers I am in the best kind of health no more for I must stop and go to packing up your affectionate husband A. F. Davis
