them and in that way bring them to termes We heard from Jo Macy a few days since He has been very sick with fever in addition to his sore foot but is now getting better. He is at Huntsville Ala. John Darnell we left in the barracks at Tullahoma He was able to walk around town but not able for duty. All the rest of the boys are well. Luther Beaver has been detailed for duty at the Hospital. His buisness is to help take care of and issue the Medicines. Two Lieuts from the Regt and one man from each Co. ware sent home yesterday morning for to recruit for the Regt. I was in hopes I would be one of the lucky Lieuts but I was not. LaTourette of Covington went from our Company The boys of the Company wanted to send C. R. Burgess but the Cap. said he was boss and would send who he pleased, so that ended the matter at once. You must excuse this short letter as I cannot think of mutch to write just now and have not time to write more if I could think of it. We have heard that the R. R. was cut between Louisville & Nashville by the Rebs but dont know how true it is Tell Nan & Rilla I want to see them bad, sure, write often and oblige Your Affectionate Husband A. F. Davis
