Saving...
March 1st 63 Dear Sally I was away on duty when Mr Cooper started home therefore I did not get to send this by him The high waters washed away the R R Bridge across Mill Creek between here and Nashville 4 days since and there has been no trains running during that time so that I could not send by express any sooner. There has a great amount of rain fell here within the last week and the waters are very high. Lieut Bedford lakes command of Co. "K" today so I will be relieved and go to my own company again John M. Haus was to see me a day or two since. He is in the 68 Ind. in the same company that Wm. Lee is in Wm. has a sore hand and has not been able for any duty since they left Indianapolis John says he thinks Wm will be discharged as the Hrs dont appear to do his hand any good
