Murfreesboro Tenn March 22. 63 Mrs Sarah Davis Mr dear wife Without waiting longer for a letter from you I will send you a small sheet this morning. The last one I got from you and the only one I have received for one month was dated March 9 And Oh but the time between them seems long. I am well. On Friday last I Sent a box by Express to you containing Several little articles of my own besides some things that others sent in it. Sering & Burgess each sends an overcoat which their friends will call and get. and Beaver sends a revolver to his father The Overcoat & 2 Blankets on the top are Jo. Mullers and he wants you to keep them for him until he sends for them. The other Blanket and all the trinkets are mine. The belt, bullets, buttons, & grape shot all come from the field of Shiloh. The wire with the bottons is off of my Sword
