three pretty china cups & saucers and cut glass tumbler - which I am to take home with me. He says if the Doc had only have told him that I was coming down he would have had a splendid silver pitcher for me - but he had to throw it away because he could not carry it with him - he has lamented that several times since I came down. He found me a very nice wash bowl & pitcher & soap dish somewhere - but the trouble is when we have to march there is no way of taking these things - they have to be thrown away. When is thee going down to Makanda. I am anxious to hear about the money whether thee got it or not.
