Soldiering verry well if we had good fare & Good beds. we have all Succeeded in putting up tollerably good Shantyes with Bunks. there is four of us in ours viz. a Mr. Phillipp Luther McNeil Cha. L. Wood & My self Wood & I Sleep togather. we have good brick chimneys & it is cold enough every night for fier. it has been raining for the last two days, which makes this place verry muddy. the people living here tell us this is a fine place for the ague & I believe them for two of our men have the Chills & fever now. I forgot to tell you in my last that Billy Sequin was sick we left him in the Hospital at Pulaski I have not learned how he is or what is the matter with him. I have to day been washing my Handkerchiefs I Know you would have laughd to see me roll up my Sleeves & pitch into it, but I managed to get them Clean, I Can get shirts and drawers washed for ten Cents apiece. Enclosed I Send you Some receipts that I had in my Port monie & did not think to leave them with you. Please take Care of them.
