H'd Qrs 7" Iowa Vol Inft Before Atlanta Ga. Aug 18" 64 My dear Wife I received your kinde and welcom letter of the 4" last Sunday, was glad to hear from you again & know That you was well I had learned Through a letter from Harry Albright to Lieut Morrison, That quite a number of the Ft. M. folks was Sick and as I had not heard from you for quite a while I was getting uneasy. I do hope you will keep well & beg of you to take good care of yourself. My health is good the weather is warm but I have got used to it and manage to get along very well. I sometimes get the blues and almost wish I was at home but as Such thoughts do not pay a Soldier I banish them as much as I can and content myself with a Soliders Treatment.
